Why an aluminum hitch instead of steel? These are the facts:

1. The trailer hitch products we sell are constructed of an aircraft aluminum alloy (6061-T), which is the same alloy used to manufacture aircraft and NASCAR racin frames, and has proven itself over many years that this aluminum alloy will withstand the brutal forces race cars and airplanes of all shapes and sizes endure on a daily basis. 2. This type of aluminum alloy has a much greater tensile strength than steel. This means the consumer has greater strength and towing power with this type of hitch verses those constructed of steel. Each aluminum ball mount trailer hitch (Alumistinger) has a Gross Trailer Weight Rating (GTWR) of 13,000 lbs, with a Tongue Weight (TW) of 2,000 lbs. Hitches made by other manufactures, such as Reese, Draw li&t, Hidden Hitch, Putnam, Acme, Quick Draw, or Wing Enterprises are fast becoming outdated because of their-steel designs.
